Boot Round-Up

Boots are the ultimate wardrobe staple. They can be dressed up or down, work or party, whatever the occasion, boots are always up for the job. I've put together a collection of my favorites; whatever your style, I'm sure you'll find at least one that you love.

First up, the boot that started it all. Well, for me, it did. I had been eyeing the white boot trend for a while; I even put up an Instagram poll to see what people thought. I worried that I might be too old for them. But the more I saw them; I knew I had to have them. So I bought them and packed them up for a weekend away with my husband.

When the time came to wear them, I started second-guessing myself, my husband even made a face when he saw them, but my other outfit was too casual. After staring in the mirror and fretting for what felt like an hour, I said f*#* it and wore them. I felt terrific all night, liberated from worrying about what people might think of me. So that's how I got the idea to start the blog "Wear the Damn Boots." I didn't want that feeling to end, and I wanted other people to feel that same sense of confidence and self-acceptance. So whenever doubt and fear try to hijacker my mindset, I remember, Wear the Damn Boots, and I push forward with confidence.

These are the classic, smooth leather Chelsea boots with the yellow stitch. I'm beyond obsessed with them.

Next up is the Dolce Vita with a twist on the Chelsea boot with soft suede and a heavy-soled heel. These look great with jeans but also with a long skirt or dress. The heel is the perfect height, and they even come in camo!

These black lug sole boots are amazing. They are lightweight and roomy enough for socks but true to size. They are perfect for skinny or wide-leg jeans alike. These boots prove you don't need a stiletto to feel sexy.

These are my second pair of Sorel boots, and they did not disappoint; the quality of this brand is impressive. The boots look better with age as they develop a rugged, worn look that is very stylish. It's the classic slip-on Chelsea but is waterproof, so it's incredibly versatile.

This boot used to be my favorite style; I still like them but wear them less frequently. I love throwing them on with leggings and an oversized sweater. You can't go wrong with this boot.

And last but not least, the classic bootie with a bit of a twist. The wraparound upper was what did it for me when buying these boots. It's a tiny embellishment that adds a sense of fun to the bootie. The suede is the perfect mix of comfy and chic. Dress these up or down with almost anything.

So you see, you can't go wrong with a great boot. They check all the boxes; boots offer something unique and different while simultaneously giving you the confidence of an old friend. When in doubt,

Wear the Damn Boots!
